Accreditation
Moore Marine College is currently in the process of pursuing institutional accreditation, a critical milestone in our development as a premier destination for marine science education.
As a newly established institution, we are required to meet specific benchmarks before becoming eligible for accreditation—most notably, being in continuous operation for a minimum of two years and having graduated students from our highest-level academic programs. These prerequisites are designed to ensure institutional stability and educational integrity prior to review by accrediting bodies.
We are actively exploring accreditation through several recognized agencies, including the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Each accrediting body has unique standards and requirements, and we are carefully evaluating which pathway best aligns with our mission, academic offerings, and long-term growth.
Our goal is to achieve full accreditation by the end of 2027, and we are committed to full transparency and rigorous compliance throughout this process. Once accreditation is granted, all academic coursework completed since the college's inception will be retroactively recognized under the accredited status. Accreditation is one of our highest priorities, and we are taking all necessary steps to ensure our programs meet the standards expected by students, employers, and the broader academic community.
